OVERVIEW
Fortasa AFD supports standard ATA/IDE protocol and can be plugged into a standard IDE connector commonly found in desktop or portable PC systems.
The more rugged, reliable and power-efficient AFDs are designed for use in rugged laptops, military devices, thin clients, Point of Sale (POS) terminals, telecom, medical instruments, surveillance systems and industrial PCs. Just like HDDs, AFDs also offer users selectable Master/Slave operation through an external jumper setting. Fortasa's AFD Series is the best drop-in replacement for high-maintenance HDDs where reliability is a major concern. Fortasa's Industrial ATA Flash SSDs are manufactured with either high reliability SLC NAND Flash or cost effective MLC NAND Flash in both Standard (0 to 70°C) and Industrial (-40°C to 85°C) Temperature grades.
In addition to basic ATA Command compliance, Fortasa also offers custom AFDs with unique features such as Quick Data Erase, Secure Data Purge, Hardware Write Protect, Hardware Data Erase and other value added functionality.
